29 March 2026 : The Sixteenth Anniversary of Overman Foundation

On 29 March 2010, Overman Foundation had started its journey at Kolkata with a heart full of dreams and aspirations. In the past sixteen years (2010—2026), Overman Foundation has carved a name for itself in the field of Aurobindonian research and Indological studies. Apart from its Archives which houses more than forty thousand documents, photographs, press reports and manuscripts related to the lives and works of Sri Aurobindo, the Mother and their disciples, it also runs Sri Aurobindo Smriti Mandir—a house of memorabilia—where around 1400 artifacts used by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother are preserved and displayed. Its Cancer Care Unit provides financial assistance to cancer patients while through its social-welfare schemes it renders substantial community relief services. Through its publishing wing which publishes varied books in English and Bengali, Overman Foundation caters to the intellectual needs of every seeker of knowledge and wisdom.

On the occasion of the sixteen anniversary of Overman Foundation, we take the opportunity to acknowledge the invaluable help and support we have received from our Founder-Members: Late Nirmal Singh Nahar (28 July 1922—3 September 2012), Late Krishna Chakravarti (7 December 1943—13 September 2022) and Late Kittu Reddy (1 July 1936—22 February 2024); our Board Members: Late Manoj Das (27 February 1934—27 April 2021), Late Prithwindra Mukherjee (20 October 1936—29 November 2024) and Late Supriyo Bhattacharya (24 November 1955—28 April 2021).

We would also like to pay our loving homage to our patrons and well-wishers for their constant support and guidance: Late Subhash Kumar Mukherjee, Late Dolly Mutsuddi, Late Togo Mukherjee, Late Noren Singh Nahar, Late Anie Nunnally, Late Bokul Sarkar, Late Chum Ganguly, Late Chitra Bose, Late Shobha Mitra, Late Suprabha Nahar, Late Kailas Jhaveri, Late Dhanavanti Nagda, Late Indu Rai and Late Sanghamitra Banerjee. We express our profoundest gratitude to all of them for all that they had done for the development of Overman Foundation as an organization.

We have been able to fulfil some of the dreams with which Overman Foundation was established in 2010.And we earnestly hope to translate all the unfulfilled dreams into reality in the next decade by the time we would be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Overman Foundation.

We humbly seek the blessings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and the love and best wishes of all those who have stood by us in our moments of glory, happiness and sorrow. On this special occasion, we express our heartfelt gratitude to every single one of them. Certain debts in life can never be repaid; they can only be acknowledged with folded hands and that is exactly what we are doing through this open letter.

Thank you all for your love and support.

  1. My sincere and joyful congratulations to Overman Foundation on this 16th Anniversary and in particular to Anurag Banerjee who keeps forever inspiring the Integral Yoga circle with profound articles of genuine sources and by individuals who had an inmost relation with Sri Aurobindo and the Mother – giving unique insights of how the Yoga works for each person and how it addresses universal nature.

What is as important is the Spirit in which the articles are published and are open for remarks and discussion while maintaining a broad minded objectivity that is the bedrock of the Integral Yoga. Keep Shining Overman Foundation !

  2. Dear Anuraj, and to all who contribute to strengthening this channel so that Mother Sri Aurobindo may be present even in this chaotic present, a present brimming with possibilities!
What can one say, how can one write with so few words, the elegance of the Director of Publication who gives so much, so generously.
There are fires burning on the surface, kindling the strength of the soul to open furrows and paths before the roads to come, towards the dawn already glimpsed, this dawn ablaze with the noondays of the future!
Every action, whether openly directed outward or through your publications, can give impetus and deserves to be recognized for its true worth. It contributes to nourishing the inner self, which, multiplied ad infinitum, allows for so many actions to overcome the inertia of things and enable their transformation.

How many small deaths and more or less great lies must be dismantled for a new birth on Earth and during this time?
The Overman Foundation is a beacon in this darkened sky with Anuraj, like a star calling to the Sun, this Vedic Sun buried and concealed by the darkness that will be defeated. An apocalypse is coming, let us be certain of it.
Thank you Anuraj, thank you to all who persevere against all odds. Christian Couyssat.

  3. On April 9, 2007, a man departed at the very end of a sadhana nourished by heroism, courage, and sincerity. His goal, while still distant for humanity today, was achieved by this man, a disciple of Sri Aurobindo, then scribe to the Mother of Worlds, before becoming a Pioneer, for such was his destiny. At twenty, following acts of resistance against the Asura of lies and death, embodied and sheltered by a Germany drawn to a predator who was nothing more than a puppet possessed by an immense Force that nearly brought the world to its knees, he was deported to the death camps. Moreover, it is because of this ordeal that “your cells can follow me,” Mother told him during a conversation in his room. Satprem, upon leaving the Buchenwald death camps, wandered here and there until he reached the feet of Mother Sri. Aurobindo, ready for a destiny inscribed in the outlines of many lifetimes. After listening, after recording, after struggling with the Force of Soul, his exchanges with Mother were fully restored: the Agenda of Supramental Action on Earth.

On May 14, 1982, her body said yes to an adventure through the body of the Earth. Long years of struggle, more than two decades, to illuminate a bodily consciousness until it was offered to a supramental Force-Consciousness. A small piece of humanity, a piece of Earth, connected to everyone within a unified space-time for a Victory over the resistance of a world that, to this day, is in agony before an Apocalypse already in sight for those who know or can perceive it!!! There is no need to recount the vicissitudes of this Battle; books and documents attest to them and are offered to present and future surveyors, since furrows and paths have been laid. Between 2005 and 2007, there was no more credible news, except for this sentence written to Kireet Joshi: “I’m done with my “Work.” Certainly enigmatic, but in the end, only the residue of a life remained, a body that departed, leaving the task of continuing the work to others. A Shakti at his side, found with the Mother of Worlds in the 1950s, after other tumultuous existences in his company, was an incomparable helper. She departed on May 4, 2007, after him, with him, having also finished her work, and what work it was! Thus, and regardless of the countless controversies and concocted schemes, since all is part of the journey. May his detractors now be able to honor him and have more than just a warm thought on April 9, 2026. For my part, I say thank you. I write these words and I promise to continue again and again, and all the more strongly. On March 25, 2002, a body—what seems to be my body—said yes against all odds. This tribute from me is neither presumptuous nor imbued with bitter resentment towards anyone, and above all, devoid of any trace of foolish pride. It is no longer in the shadow of a puppet ego, but ablaze with inner strength, to the point of affirming loudly and clearly that Beauty will overcome the resistance of the world. Thank you Satprem, thank you Sujata. A little brother.
