Photographs of the Mother’s Darshan of 24 April 1963 and 1966

Dear Friends,

The Mother came to Pondicherry for the first time and met Sri Aurobindo on 29 March 1914. In February 1915 She went back to France and after a sojourn in Japan returned to Pondicherry for good on 24 April 1920. About the anniversary of Her final return to Pondicherry, the Mother had remarked that it was the tangible sign of the sure victory over the adverse forces.

24 April 2019 marks the ninety-ninth Anniversary of the Mother’s final arrival in Pondicherry. As our homage to the Mother, a set of Her photographs taken on 24 April 1963 and 1966 respectively has been published in the website of Overman Foundation.

  3. Thank you, dear Anurag.
I believe she is to have remarked, “People were surprised that it rained out of season.”
    Did you read that?
Well love to both of you,
    A beautiful Darshan too.

    1. Dearest Richard-da,

I was not aware of the Mother’s utterance: “People were surprised that it rained out of season”. On which occasion did She say so? Was it during the April Darshan of 1964 or that of 1966?

      With warm regards,
      Anurag

      1. This was told with other details of her arrival from Colombo to Karikal and finally here. It’s in the “Questions and Answers”, but can’t trace it now.
        Sorry.
