Dear Friends and Well-wishers of Overman Foundation,
An exhibition of books on Sri Aurobindo and the Mother (not usually available at the branches of Sri Aurobindo Book Distribution Agency, i.e. SABDA) and Indian scriptures was organized by Sri Aurobindo Sakti Centre and Overman Foundation in association with Sri Aurobindo’s Action West Bengal Trust on 8th February 2015 (Sunday) at the premises of Sri Aurobindo Sakti Centre located at 532, Block “M”, New Alipore, Kolkata 700053.
The aim of the said exhibition was to enable book-lovers to browse through and collect books and magazines on Aurobindonian thoughts which are not easily available at the branches of SABDA.
The exhibition—which began at 11 a.m. and ended at 6 p.m.— was inaugurated by Shri Biswajit Gangopadhyay, Managing Member of Sri Aurobindo Bhavan (Kolkata) in the presence of Smt. Chitra Bose, Managing Trustee of Sri Aurobindo Sakti Centre, New Alipore.
The participating centres were (1) Srinvantu (Kolkata), (2) Sri Aurobindo Centre for Research on Social Science (Kolkata), (3) Sri Aurobindo Sadhak Sangha (Shibpur, Howrah), (4) Sri Aurobindo Bhavan (Hooghly-Chuchura), (5) Auroma Culture Centre (Dasnagar, Howrah), (6) Sri Aurobindo Bhavan (Jhikira, Howrah), (7) Sri Aurobindo Bharat Ashram (Dogachia, Naihati), (8) Uttarpara Sri Aurobindo Parishad (Uttarpara, Hooghly), (9) Sri Aurobindo Anushilan Society (Siuri, Birbhum), (10) Ushagram Vikas Kendra (Ushagram, Nadia), (11) Sri Aurobindo’s Action West Bengal Trust (Kolkata) and (12) Overman Foundation (Kolkata).
Books on Sri Aurobindo, the Mother and Indian scriptures published by renowned publishing houses like Savitri Foundation, Akshaya Prakashan (New Delhi), Stichting Aurofonds (Auroville), Sri Aurobindo Centre for Advanced Research (Pondicherry), Vak Parampara (Chennai and Bikaner), Somlata and Ritam (Kolkata) were also displayed.
